New year, new me...

"New year, new me" Over the last week or so this quote has been used an awful amount, I think it is used too lightly. At the start of the year for a couple years now I myself have been saying this. I tell myself that I am going to become more organised, concentrate on school more, go out more and enjoy myself, but like the millions out there I never fully achieve my desires for the coming year. Many people say that they are going to lose weight, or eat more healthily and exercise more but after a few weeks they usually start to gradually fall back into old habits. Now personally I do not need to lose weight (I need to gain a few pounds!), but for those out there here are some tips that I have picked up from my mum's weight loss last year.
-Don't bully yourself if you slip up, it's a new routine and slip ups are allowed!
-Don't over do it; cutting out things like all sugar and fatty foods is often not as healthy as it has been previously made out to be, you need a balanced diet.
Another reason to gradually lose weight through exercise and healthy eating is that if you lose a lot of weight quickly it is very unhealthy for you and can led to more health problems. Also a lot of people put that weight back on very quickly, you need to continue the balanced diet and exercising to maintain that figure!
-Snacking, if you need to snack then snack on foods such as oatcakes or fresh vegetables.

These tips are just a few hopefully helpful notes that could be of use! I personally need to increase my exercise for fitness reasons. A few months ago I quit dance and running as I got too busy and caught up with school work. As a result I have noticed that I have caught more colds and illnesses! So I plan to increase my exercises but when it suits me, this way I don't feel pressured or upset if I'm too tired or busy to exercise!

For my organization I plan to watch less TV and when I do my work put my best into it. An incentive for me is a card I received from my grandparents. It was a well done in your exams card, inside they put well done for your B in Textiles and C in Art. I actually also got two E's, the realisation that actually I'm really not proud of it and I could have done better than I keep saying hit me. I really really need to try harder this year, in fact I need to do better, not try.

So there you go, sorry about my ramblings!

जुस्त अ लित्तले पोस्ट...

Seeing it's the start of a new year I thought I'd try and make time for a post.
Thoughts on resolutions?
I think mine are going to be to work harder and to play harder, I'm not one for school work, I'm far too lazy but this is my final year of A-Levels and I really need to buckle down and do my work to THE BEST standard I can. Play harder is a resolution because most of the time I'd rather stay home and watch some good old CSI with my boyfriend or simply on my own. Yes I really am a 60 year old woman stuck inside a 17 year old's body! I need to work harder with actual work aswell, I took on another job opportunity just before christmas, 6 weeks at John Lewis! I do 12 hours a week at John Lewis plus added christmas work from the shoe shop, I've been going mental as I'm so busy! And I want to go shopping!!

I also need to make sure I spend quality time with my boyfriend and not leave him out of my busy schedule, I need to make plans and stick to them!
Another thing is my organisation, I try to be organised I really do! I've been given a gorgeous pink filofax for christmas which is great as I can write down all my work hours and appointments! I need to keep my bedroom more organised and also my school work. Hopefully then I can concentrate on important things such as school work and work without being tied up with tidying or losing important sheets!

Anyway this last year has been relativily ok, I got back with my boyfriend in Februray, Family holiday in France, Ok AS results, 17th birthday, and more obvoiusly!

I will post another post on this topic soon xxx

२१.११.१०

Haven't had much chance to post recently, been so busy!
First of all I got a job! As a sales assistant in the most loveliest shoe shop ever, I want to buy all their shoes expect there a big on the high £££££ side!

I've been really busy with school as well, seeing as it's my final year of A-Levels and it is not really going to well.. Stuff UCAS!

Thirdly I'm not too well, I have earache, swollen glands and a sore throat! And on top of that my allergies are playing up. I'm highly intolerent to gluten, and most likely allergic to it. I have been previously tested except my doctor told me I didn't have to have any wheat or gluten in my system for the test to work. Except you do. My dietricion told me it has to be in your system for over 6 weeks!! That includes eating it with every meal of the day. To be tested again I would definatly have to do that, to be honest I'm dreading it and putting it off for as long as possible! To go through all that pain, discomfort and general unwellness(Is that a word!?) while I'm crazy busy & stressed through school is stupid! Much prefer sticking to my gluten and wheat free diet, a pain and definatly and annoyance but so worth it!

Well I'm off to do the hundreds of hw I have put off!!

Halloween tomorrow! This year my hair won't be as scary as last year, it got to the stage where I had to get the damage cut out, 3 inches!! my hair takes ages to grow anyway! It was like Barbie hair, remember when you were a kid and you played and brushed with your Barbie's hair so much it turned into a ball of knots and frizz? well mine was like that. Too much sun and heat from curling tongs.
Anyway once the worst damage had been cut off, I soon started using conditioning masks and leave in conditioner daily, (Got into the habit of not using any conditioner because it didn't need it, then BAAM! it needs it!) and after about a year it's back to its normal condition and length, yes a year :(
I personally blame the hairdresser who spent hours curling my hair for when I was a bridesmaid, she also used far too many hair slides, my hair felt like a metal plate! 46 slides to be precise!

Today has been pretty dull, I'm supposed to be doing A-Level homework and course work but I just don't have any motivation, Not a good thing with 2 days left of half term!

Anyway,I wanted to write a mini review on the new Pantene Aqua Light hair range.
First of all, the shampoo is lovely to use, it creates a nice amount of bubbles and leaves your hair really clean. I haven't used the shampoo much as I have dermititas on my scalp so I use gross T-Gel shampoo! However I have been using the conditioner for over a month now and I'm really pleased, the condition of my hair has dramtically improved - it is much more softer, shiny-ier! and knot free without the weight of heavy conditioners.
It is a really nice conditioner to use and I'd definatly recommend the range, it is reasonable (around £4 in Boots but it's always going on offer!)

Its not fancy or anything, but it does the job well!
BUY BUY BUY!

212 VIP by Carolina Herrera.
I was given a sample of this perfume, first of all it is AMAZING!The smell is lovely, not too sweet and definitely not too musky. The aromas of rum, passion fruit, musk, gardenia heart, vanilla and tonka bean work perfectly together giving you a wonderful smell that you can wear daily and also for those nights out.
It is long lasting and you only need one squirt to last you all day. It is now one of my favourites and reasonably priced at around £45.
